The Steinbrinker-Ströhener Masch is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Diepenau in the joint municipality of Uchte in the district of Nienburg and the municipality of Wagenfeld in the district of Diepholz .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 153 is around 325  hectares . The nature reserve is completely part of the EU bird sanctuary "Diepholzer Moorniederung". In the north and west it borders on the Dümmer Nature Park or extends into it. The area has been a nature reserve since November 14, 1991. It was initially around 255 hectares. In the summer of 2017 it was expanded to its current size. Areas in the west that are part of the bird sanctuary were included in the nature reserve. Responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Nienburg and Diepholz.

The nature reserve is located north of Diepenau, east of Wagenfeld and west of Uchte in the Diepholzer Moorniederung . In the east it borders directly on the nature reserve " Uchter Moor ", in the south on the nature reserve " Nordeler Bruch ". In the border areas to the moor areas , the nature reserve has a buffer function.

The area places grassland areas on fens under protection. The grassland areas, which are temporarily watered by ditches, are predominantly subject to extensive agricultural use and thus offer meadow birds a habitat. So here are u. a. Common snipe , redshank , lapwing and curlew are native. Parts of the usable areas in the nature reserve are also used for arable farming. These areas are also important as living space and a. for quail , skylark and lapwing too. Furthermore, z. B. Meadow pipit and stonechat native. The area is also important as a feeding habitat for bird species from the adjacent raised bogs . Forest areas and other woody stocks serve as habitat , along with other bird species oriole , red backed killer and tree falcon . Meadow pools that occur in the nature reserve and temporarily carry water serve as a habitat for amphibians .
