The Rodewalder Lichtenheide is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Rodewald in the joint municipality of Steimbke in the district of Nienburg / Weser .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 086 is 250  hectares in size. It lies northeast of Steimbke and west of Rodewald - Untere Bauerschaft. In the southwest it borders directly on the nature reserves " Steimbker Kuhlen " and " Rodewalder Wiehbuschwiesen ".

In the Rodewalder Lichtenheide there are high moor areas on the edge of the Lichtenmoor and moist to dry sandy soils. The northern area of ​​the nature reserve is characterized by a wet meadow landscape with isolated litter meadows . The areas, which are mostly cultivated extensively, form an important habitat for meadow birds , the litter meadows also for plant species in need of protection. In the southern area, uncultivated raised bog areas and heather stands characterize the picture. These areas are not cultivated. The gradual encroachment is counteracted by decussing measures .

The area is primarily drained via the Moorbeeke, a tributary of the Alpe , to the Aller .

The area has been a nature reserve since June 27, 1985. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Nienburg / Weser.
