The Bunkenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Stöckse in the Samtgemeinde Steimbke and in the city of Nienburg in the Nienburg / Weser district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 185 is 37  hectares in size. In the northeast it borders directly on the “ Krähenmoor ” nature reserve . Otherwise it is completely surrounded by the landscape protection area "Die Krähe". The area has been a nature reserve since November 27, 1997. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Nienburg / Weser.

The nature reserve is located east of Nienburg and is surrounded by the terminal moraines of the crow. It provides a high moor area under protection, which in a in a moraine has formed recessed trough of today's crows Moores. The moor is predominantly characterized by birch - pine - moor forest and pipegrass stands.

The Bunkenmoor is traversed by the Schiffgraben, which drains the area via the Führser Mühlbach to the Weser . In the area of ​​the Schiffgraben there are artificially created still waters that develop in a natural way and are important for endangered animal species such as amphibians. The moor areas are to be regenerated by restoring the water conditions typical of the site.
