The oak husk forests are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Steyerberg in the Nienburg / Weser district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 018 consists of two parts and is 3.6  hectares in size. The area has been a nature reserve since January 15, 1949. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Nienburg / Weser.

The nature reserve lies somewhat between Sulingen and Steyerberg and puts an oak forest on the edge of the floodplain of the Siede under protection. The oak forest is characterized by a high proportion of old trees and dead wood .

The two sub-areas are almost completely surrounded by agricultural land .
