The Seekopf above Seebach (Baden) is a summit in the main ridge of the northern Black Forest between the Upper Rhine Plain and the Murgtal , on the border between the Ortenaukreis and the Freudenstadt district . Its height is 1054.9 m above sea level. NHN . The mountain ridge made of red sandstone in the upper area belongs to the Grindenschwarzwald and Enzhöhen natural area . On its western flank which runs Schwarzwaldhochstraße B 500, below the Ostabhangs is in a Kar the Wildsee . The Westweg runs over the mountain and leads to the Ruhestein approx. 1.5 km southwest . The Seekopf lies in the area of the Black Forest National Park, established in 2014 .
On the summit level lies the grave of Julius Euting , a well-known orientalist and co-founder of the Vosges Club .
Identical names
Just eleven kilometers further north, also in the northern Black Forest, is another mountain of the same name, the Seekopf near Forbach-Herrenwies in the Rastatt district.
