Senad Tiganj (born August 28, 1975 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian football player .

Tiganj was a member of his country's squad for the 2002 World Cup , but was only used once: in the last group game against Paraguay, when it was already clear that Slovenia would be eliminated.

During the winter break in 2004 / 05 , the center forward Tiganj from joining NK Ljubljana to the German second division club FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt .

After his team's game against SpVgg Unterhaching , which Erfurt won 2-0 on April 6, 2005 , Tiganj was convicted of taking the banned substance Fenoterol . Tiganj did not deny taking this substance. According to his statement, however, the day before the game he only showed his son how to take an asthma drug.

Because of the doping case, Tiganj was banned for ten weeks by the sports court of the DFB on May 4, 2005 with retroactive effect from April 19 . The game of April 6th was rated for Unterhaching. Due to the associated loss of three points, Rot-Weiß Erfurt suffered a severe setback in the relegation battle.

Senad Tiganj moved to second division SV Wacker Burghausen in June 2005 and should strengthen the storm there in the coming season. The coach there, Markus Schupp , no longer planned with him. Senad Tiganj then moved to the then regional league team SSV Jahn Regensburg during the winter break 05/06 . Here, however, he was less noticeable for his achievements than for outside of the field. He got into a team dispute provoked by his colleague at the time, Christian Alder . Alder is said to have been violent with Tiganj after a game in the cabin corridor, because, according to Alder, he is the highest-paid player in the squad, but does not bring any performance. Tiganj's contract was not renewed.

Tiganj then returned to his homeland and played for the Slovenian club NK Drava. He then worked for various clubs in Slovenia and Austria.
