Sergei Alexandrovich Tereschchenko

Sergei Alexandrowitsch Tereschchenko ( Russian Сергей Александрович Терещенко ; born March 30, 1951 in Lessosavodsk , Russian SFS , Soviet Union ) is the former Prime Minister of Kazakhstan . He was the first Prime Minister of Kazakhstan from October 14, 1991 to October 12, 1994. In 1998 he was one of the supporters of a re-election of Nursultan Nazarbayev as president .

Life

In 1973 Tereshchenko graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering . In 1993 he completed a degree in economics at the party college in Alma Ata and was awarded a Dr. from the party college. In 2001 he was appointed a member of the Академик Международной академии информатизации (МАИН) (International Academy for Informatization) in Almaty . He was employed as a mechanical engineer in the Tulkibas district in southern Kazakhstan , where he was the first secretary of the Komsomol Tjulkubas area committee from 1976 to 1980. From 1979 to 1986 he rose in the district party committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan from the post of inspector to the state party secretary. From July 1986 to November 1989 he was the head of the executive in Schymkent .

From November 1989 to February 1990 he was the first deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic . From February to April 1990 he was the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR. From April to May 1990 he was Vice President of the Kazakh SSR. From May 1990 to October 1991 was the first secretary of the regional party committees in Shymkent and chairman of the regional council of people's deputies. From October 16 to December 10, 1991 he was Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR. From December 10, 1991 to October 14, 1994 he was Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1990 to 1991 he was a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU .

Since October 1994 he has been chairman of the "Integration" foundation. From 1998 to 1999 he led the election campaign for the re-election of Nursultan Nazarbayev . From March 1999 to October 2002 he was chairman of Nur Otan , which at that time had more than 300,000 members. Since November 2002 he has been deputy chairman of the Ассамблея народа Казахстана (Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan) under Nursultan Nazarbayev. Since April 15, 2004 he has been chairman of the Association of Kazakh Insurance Companies.
