Sergei Yakovlev
Sergei Anatoljewitsch Jakowlew , also Serguei Yakovlev , ( Russian Сергей Анатольевич Яковлев ; born April 21, 1976 in Temirtau , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh cyclist .
Athletic career
In 1997, Sergei Yakovlev became the Kazakh road racing champion . In 1999 he later became the Asian road racing champion and runner-up in the individual time trial . In the same year he decided a stage of the Circuit Franco-Belge and the Tour de Hokkaidō for themselves. In 2000 he was once again the Kazakh road champion, and in the time trial for the national title, he finished second. He won the overall ranking of the Tour de l'Ain and a stage of the Giro d'Abruzzo . In 2003 he won a stage of the Tour de Suisse and in 2005 the Tour d'Indonesia .
Yakovlev competed four times in the Giro d'Italia and once, in 2006, in the Vuelta a España .
In 2000 and 2004 Yakovlev started at the Olympic Games in road races. In 2000 he was 56th in Sydney and 50th in Athens in 2004 .
