Dmitri Sergejewitsch Murawjow ( Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Муравьёв ; born November 2, 1979 ) is a former Kazakh cyclist .

Career

Murawjow drove in 2001 as a stagiaire at Domo-Farm Frites and the following season in the junior team of Mapei-Quick Step . In his second year there he was able to celebrate some successes. He won three stages at Ruban Granitier Breton and was first in the overall classification. A little later he became the Kazakh time trial champion and won two stages in the Tour des Pyrénées . In 2004 he received a professional contract with the French cycling team Crédit Agricole .

The only victory he could get in 2005 was his second Kazakh time trial championship title. In 2006 he drove for the Belgian team Jartazi-7Mobile . In 2007 he moved to Team Astana . In the 2010 and 2011 seasons he drove for the US team RadioShack and then moved back to the Astana team. At the end of 2014 he ended his cycling career.
