Sergei Sergeyevich Gaidutschenko ( Russian Сергей Сергеевич Гайдученко , Ukrainian Сергій Сергійович Гайдученко / Serhiy Serhijowytsch Hajdutschenko * 6. June 1989 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian - Ukrainian ice hockey player , who most recently the KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Continental Hockey League contract was standing.

Career

Sergei Gaidutschenko began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth field of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl , for whose second team he was active for the first time in the 2006/07 season in the third-rate Pervaya League . Then the goalkeeper was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2007 in the seventh round as a total of 202 players by the Florida Panthers . For the time being, however, he stayed in his Russian homeland, where he made his professional ice hockey debut for Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Russian Super League in the 2007/08 season . The following season he moved to his former club Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , in which he stood for Lokomotive between the posts until 2010.

In June 2010 Lokomotive exchanged the KHL rights to Gaidutschenko for a first-round right to vote for the KHL Junior Draft 2010 . In July 2010, Gaiduchenko was signed by HK CSKA Moscow for two years . In the following two years Gaidutschenko was a regular at CSKA, but also completed many games in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL) for Krasnaya Armija Moscow during the 2010/11 season . He won the Kharlamov Cup , the league's trophy in the 2011 MHL playoffs .

In May 2012, Gaiduchenko returned to his hometown club, but left it a month later and signed a two-year contract with HK Sibir Novosibirsk . During the 2013/14 season he was supposed to be used for the farm team Sauralje Kurgan in the Wysschaja Hockey League , but instead moved to HK Donbass Donetsk in December 2013 , where he was not used.

In the summer of 2016, he first completed a try-out and then signed a one-year contract with the KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Continental Hockey League.

International

In April 2014, he completed the first World Cup for Ukraine when he played four games in the Division I World Cup . Also in 2018 , when he and the Romanian Patrik Polc achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament behind the Estonian Villem-Henrik Koitmaa and the Lithuanian Mantas Armalis , he played in Division I.
