Sergio Bernardo Almirón (born November 7, 1980 in Santa Fe ) is an Argentine football player .

Almirón is the son of Sergio Omar Almirón , a member of Argentina's world champion team of 1986 .

Career

The midfielder Sergio Almirón changed in the 2001/02 season of the Newell's Old Boys to Udinese in the Serie A . Here, however, he did not get beyond a reserve role, which is why he moved to the then Serie B club Hellas Verona after two seasons with only twelve appearances . There, however, he stayed for only one year before the 2004/05 season for FC Empoli moved. Here Almirón was able to earn a regular place straight away, in his first season with the new club, he was promoted to Serie A.
