Seth Tuttle (born September 5, 1992 in Mason City , Iowa ) is an American basketball player . During his studies in his home country, Tuttle was able to distinguish himself as a basketball player and was “Freshman of the Year” in 2012 and “Player of the Year” at the Missouri Valley Conference of the NCAA in 2015, before starting a professional career in Europe in 2015. After a season for the German first division returnee s.Oliver Würzburg, Tuttle has been playing in Belgium for Hubo Limburg United since 2016 .

Career

After graduating from West Fork High School in Sheffield (Iowa) , Tuttle received a scholarship to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls , where he played for the Panthers college team in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) of the NCAA from 2011 . Tuttle knew how to convince in its very first season and was named " Freshman of the Year" by MVC in 2012. After the Panthers in the second round of the 2012 National Invitation Tournament and 2013 in the semifinals of the College Insider Tournament (CIT) from competitions Postseason had retired, won Tuttle, together with, among others, Wes Washpun 2015, the championship tournament of the MVC. After Tuttle had already been named "Player of the Year" by the MVC, he was also named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the championship tournament. Then the Panthers played for the first time since 2010 and the historic "upset" against the Kansas Jayhawks in the national NCAA finals , in which they lost to the slightly favored Louisville Cardinals after beating the Wyoming Cowboys in the second round . Tuttle was a member of the starting five in all 136 games for the Panthers, which is an all-time record for the Panthers; in terms of stakes, points scored and rebounds , Tuttle is one of the "top five" of the all-time leaderboards and is sixth in shot blocks .

Despite his convincing performance in the NCAA, Tuttle was not included in the 2015 NBA draft . After he was unable to recommend himself for a contract in the NBA's highest endowed professional league in the NBA Summer League for the Miami Heat , he finally signed his first long-term professional contract with the German premier league returnees s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg , for whom he had already UNI alumni Ben Jacobson and John Little had played. In the basketball Bundesliga 2015/16 , the Würzburg team were able to fight for a place among the top eight teams in the play-offs for the German championship, in which, however, they were eliminated in the first round without a win against their Franconian rival and defending champion Brose Baskets . Then Tuttle moved to Belgium and was active for Limburg United from Hasselt in the Basketball League Belgium .
