Severin Bartos

Severin Eduard Bartos (born January 8, 1920 in Lublinitz ; † February 11, 2003 in Cochem ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician ( CDU ) and district administrator in the Cochem district .

Life

Severin Bartos studied law and was initially a department head at the district government in Koblenz. In 1953 he joined the CDU. Bartos was from July 15, 1960 to 1969 District Administrator of the district Cochem . He then became the first district administrator of the newly formed district of Cochem-Zell . He retired on January 31, 1985.

Among other things, he was chairman of the social committee of the German District Assembly and the Rhineland-Palatinate District Assembly. He held numerous honorary positions. He headed the German Red Cross in the Cochem-Zell district for over 31 years.

In 1969 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Bamberg Cathedral on October 25, 1969 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was last Commander of the Order.
