Peter Franz Oster

Peter Franz Oster (born September 21, 1772 in Koblenz , † March 7, 1841 in Cochem ) was district administrator in the Cochem district .

life and career

His parents were the magistrate Peter Oster († in Cologne ) and Anna Maria Oster (née Beidner). He completed his training at the Jesuit College in Koblenz . In 1792 he was in the Dutch service, then in 1795 general secretary of the Mayen municipal administration , from July 1796 mayor of Kaisersesch , since February 9, 1805, mayor of Cochem, in 1810 mayor of the city of Cochem and at the same time district councilor of the arrondissement of Koblenz ; continued to be mayor of the combined mayorships of Cochem and Pomerania (Mosel) based in Klotten as well as notary of the canton of Cochem and battalion chief of the citizens' militia.

In his second marriage he married Anna Constanze Elisabeth Antonia Sonntag in Cochem (born September 12, 1779 in Trier, † after 1845 in Cochem). On May 20, 1816 he became district commissioner in the district of Cochem, and with the highest cabinet order from October 19, 1818 district administrator in the district of Cochem, on November 17, 1818 he took office and was sworn in. He gave the higher authority informative reports about the slate mining and the slate pits in Laubach and Müllenbach . On March 1, 1841, he retired at his own request.
