Erdoğan Bayraktar

Erdoğan Bayraktar (born October 10, 1948 in Of ) is a Turkish politician of the Justice and Recovery Party (AKP).

Life

Erdoğan Bayraktar is a trained civil engineer. He did his master's degree at Istanbul University . He did his doctorate on the subject of collective agreements in the construction industry. From 1973 Bayraktar worked as an entrepreneur. From 1989 to 1999 he was a member of the municipal councils of the metropolitan municipality of Istanbul and Eminönüs.

From July 6, 2011 to December 2013, Bayraktar was Minister of the Environment and Minister of Urban Affairs of Turkey in the Erdoğan III cabinet . On December 25, 2013, he resigned from his post as a result of the corruption scandal .
