The Severn River is a small river in the Australian state of Queensland . It rises at Stanthorpe , flows southwest through Sundown National Park and flows north of Mole River into the Dumaresq River , which in turn is a tributary of the Macintyre River . Often times, the Servers River is considered the farthest source of the Darling River from its mouth .
The Severn River is one of the Border Rivers and has nothing to do with its New South Wales namesake , which flows directly into the Macintyre River.
Along the river there is a special type of eucalyptus (River Red Gums), Allocasuarina (She-Oaks), myrtle heather and cylinder cleaner .
