Shane Gibson (musician)
Shane Gibson (born February 21, 1979 in Houma , Louisiana , † April 15, 2014 in Birmingham , Alabama ) was an American musician .
Life
Gibson grew up in Fort Walton Beach , Florida . After graduating from high school , he attended Berklee College of Music , an independent music college in Boston , Massachusetts . During his time there he played in the bands Cofield and Teiousekkai, among others . After graduating from college, he recorded the Mr. Stork CD . In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles and worked for Kiss and Immergent Records , among others .
After he had already worked with Jonathan Davis on his solo project and became part of his solo band, he played from 2007 to 2010 as an additional live guitarist at KoRn's concerts .
Subsequently he was active in projects such as stOrk (with Thomas Lang ), SchwarZenatoR and DeFable.
Gibson died on April 15, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, after complications from a blood clot .
