Career
Pillai learned to play poker from friends. He has participated in renowned live tournaments since 2007 .
Pillai won the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the first time in mid-June 2007 . He sat down at a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em against 826 other players through and secured bracelet and a prize money of nearly 530,000 US dollars . In 2011 he made the money three times and in 2012 five times in WSOP tournaments. He reached a final table at the 2016 WSOP and finished in third place, worth nearly $ 200,000. The American then also made it into the money at the main event of the tournament series and received almost 70,000 US dollars for his 86th place.
