Shaped by Fate is a British metalcore band from Cardiff that was formed in 2001.

history

The band was formed towards the end of 2001. In the following years, the band held various live performances, which were accompanied by some line-up changes. The band played alongside bands like Every Time I Die , The Red Chord , Bleeding Through , Walls of Jericho , Terror , Funeral for a Friend , SikTh , The Black Dahlia Murder and Throwdown . The band has also been touring the UK and the rest of Europe with Parkway Drive , The Chariot and Raging Speedhorn .

A demo was released in 2002, followed by the split release The Fire Which in the Heart Resides in 2004 and the EP Brightest Lights Cast the Darkest Shadows in 2005 . The band released their debut album called The Unbeliever in 2007. In 2008, the DVD Riffage and Wreckage was self-released. In early 2011 the band signed a contract with Siege of Amida Records to release their upcoming second album, I Fear the World Has Changed .

style

The band is described by Kerrang magazine as "the future of British Metalcore". The vocals are guttural , as is typical for the genre , and borrowings from Death Metal can also be heard here and there.
