Furnishing

Interior view of the Shinkansen 800 series

Since the 800 series is operated on the Kyūshū-Shinkansen route , which has many tunnels, the designers paid great attention to creating a feeling of space in the interior.

Khaki for the walls, antique paint for the doors, and traditional Kyushu curtains for windows and toilets were used. The seats are made from a wood / metal / plastic combination from other Shinkansen types.

The seating arrangement is 2/2 in each case, with their own wheelchair spaces and disabled toilets in two of the six cars.
