Sieben Dewaele (born February 2, 1999 ) is a Belgian soccer player who is currently under contract with the first division club RSC Anderlecht and is loaned to the Dutch club SC Heerenveen . The midfielder has been a Belgian U21 international since October .

Career

Dewaele comes from the youth department of the capital club RSC Anderlecht . After two seasons for the U21 team, he was about to make a move in the summer of 2019 because he wanted to gain match practice in professional football . With the arrival of Vincent Kompany as player- coach , however, his status changed and he was promoted to the first team squad for the 2019/20 season . He made his league debut on August 4, 2019 (2nd matchday) in a 0-0 draw against Royal Excel Mouscron . As a result, he rose to become a regular in central midfield, but lost this place again in November. During this season he played 15 league games in which he was able to prepare a hit.

At the end of July 2020, a loan to the Dutch club SC Heerenveen was agreed for the 2020/21 season .

National team

In May 2015, Sieben Dewaele played two international matches for the Belgian U16 national team . Two years later he played once for the U18 .

From August 2017 to March 2018 he played eight times for the U19s and scored twice in these games.

He has been a Belgian U21 international since October 2019 .
