Siegfried Santoni

Siegfried Anton Maranius Santoni (born July 25, 1955 in Leoben , Austria ), born Siegfried Anton Niessl , is an Austrian artist.

Life

Siegfried Santoni was born as Siegfried Niessl as the son of Pauline Niessl, b. Reber and Alois Alois Niessl were born.

He grew up in Leoben, where he attended elementary school. When he was eleven years old, his father died. He went to grammar school in Graz for two years, the Salvatorian boarding school in Graz , and then to grammar school in Leoben for two years. Then he went to the Ortwein School in Graz. Building - Art - Design , followed by a degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz .

Santoni was the official representative of Austria after Alfred Hrdlicka and before Max Weiler in the international cultural exchange with Mexico and had four large individual presentations in the museums of the cities of Mexico City , Veracruz , Xalapa and in Guadalajara in 1991/92.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he received an invitation from the city of Berlin to paint his interpretations of the social changes in Central Europe in 1990 on the remaining kilometers of the Berlin Wall . Santoni's trilogy (10 × 4 m) Machine - Man has been a listed building since 1991 and was awarded the special prize “Lived Unity” in the competition “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” under the patronage of German President Horst Köhler and funded by Deutsche Bank excellent.

Siegfried Santoni lives and works in Styria , Austria.
