History and design

The Salvator Church is dedicated to Christ the Salvator . The parish center was built in two construction phases: Due to the population growth in the 1960s, a church room with an adjoining rectory was built. The architect of this building complex, which opened in 1969, was Karl Raimund Lorenz. Pastoral care was taken over by the Salvatorian religious order . After acquiring the neighboring property, the construction of a pastoral care and meeting center, the pastoral care center Graz-Nord, began .

The church interior has a square floor plan. The pews are arranged concentrically around the semicircular chancel with a round rose window . In the interior there are twelve columns that symbolize the apostles. 14 pillars support the stations of the cross. The tabernacle in the shape of an ear of corn is made of brass. The organ stands next to the altar and a natural stone protrudes into the room on the east side.
