The Church of St. Paul in the Eisteichsiedlung or parish church Graz-Waltendorf is a Roman Catholic church in the 9th  district of Graz Waltendorf . The church is dedicated to the apostle Paul and bears the patronage of Pauli Conversion (25 January). It is the parish church of the parish Graz-Waltendorf , deanery Graz-south of the town church Graz .

History and design

After the Second World War , the Eisteichsiedlung developed into a satellite town. According to the plans of the architect Ferdinand Schuster , a pastoral care center with a church was built in the late 1960s due to the population growth.

The room with a square floor plan, which cannot be used exclusively for liturgical purposes, has stage-like elements that can be separated from the central room with the help of curtains. Only afterwards were sacred elements added to the rooms: an altar table with relief panels, an ambo and portals with depictions of the life of Jesus Christ. A free-standing bell tower made of steel beams with a cross was added later as a Christian symbol. The sacred elements were created by the well-known Graz artist Erwin Huber .

The Church of St. Paul, including the parish center of St. Paul / Eisteich, is a listed building .
