History and design

At the Graz-St. Elisabeth in Webling is the youngest Graz parish founded. It forms an association with the parish of Straßgang. In the 1960s, a single-family housing estate was built in Webling, and in 1972 the simple Elizabeth Church was consecrated . The church has a rectangular floor plan and a simple monopitch roof . The building was only gradually converted into a sacred structure, and a bell-shaped support tapering towards the top was added as a visible element. Rows of benches surround the wooden altar on three sides . On wooden panels there are images of the parish and church patroness, Saint Martin and the Three Kings . The pictures of the Stations of the Cross come from the late Expressionist Werner Augustiner , and eight enamel pictures are attached to the church portal.
