The Church of the Redeemer ( listen ? / I ) is an Evangelical Lutheran church building in the seventh Grazer district Liebenau . It belongs to the Evangelical daughter community Graz-Liebenau in the Superintendentur Styria of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria . Audio file / audio sample

In the 1950s, Liebenau developed its own evangelical district. It was therefore decided to build their own church and commissioned the architect Ferdinand Schuster to plan and carry out the construction. The sacred building is built in the classic modern style and recognizable as a church because of the bell support and the pent roof. The cubic room is designed in a simple and functional way and has square windows. The church was completed in 1963 and a rectory was built in 1968, also according to Schuster's plans.

Before being elected superintendent of the Evangelical Superintendent of A. B. Styria in 1983, Günter Matthias Rech was pastor at the Erlöserkirche.
