Siegfried Zimmer (politician)

Siegfried Zimmer (born September 13, 1930 in Plauen , Vogtland ; † January 16, 2009 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Siegfried Zimmer attended a high school and passed the Abitur . He studied political science and graduated with a diploma in politics. He joined the CDU in 1951. From 1956 he worked for the Berlin Senator for the Interior and from 1962 for the Steglitz district office . In the Berlin election in 1958 , Zimmer was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in the Schöneberg district. In the 1971 election he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. There Horst ScheiblichWhen the district councilor for health in Schöneberg resigned, Zimmer took over this office in June 1978. His successor in parliament was then Robert Wachs (1921–1989).
