The gmina wiejska Sierpc is an independent rural municipality in Poland in the powiat Sierpecki in the Masovian Voivodeship . Its seat is in the city of Sierpc . The rural community, to which the city of Sierpc itself does not belong, has an area of 150.2 km², on which (as of June 30, 2019) 7024 people live.

From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Płock Voivodeship .
