Sigrid Engeler

Sigrid Engeler (born April 17, 1950 in Wolfenbüttel ) is a German translator .

Life

Sigrid Engeler completed a degree in Old Northern Studies , German and Political Science at the University of Frankfurt am Main . In 1990 she did her doctorate at the University of Kiel . From 1992 to 1996 she worked at Luchterhand-Literaturverlag and Arche-Verlag . Since 1996 she has lived in Kiel as a freelance translator and editor . Sigrid Engeler translates narrative prose from Swedish , Danish , Norwegian and English into German . She is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
