Silver soccer shoe 1965
The GDR footballer of the year was awarded the Silver Football Boot 1965 for the third time . The editors of the new football week had a poll of sports editors of magazines and newspapers of the GDR to select the best player of the season 1964/65 carried out on pools coupons, the six best football players with points (ten points for the favorite, for the following positions descending seven, five, three, two and one point). The result was announced on July 21, 1965 in Haus Berlin at Strausberger Platz , the highest total number of points was achieved by Horst Weigang .
