Silke Krebs (born March 23, 1966 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From November 21, 2009 to 2011 she was chairwoman of the Baden-Württemberg regional association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. She was a member of the green-red state government of Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann from 2011 to 2016 as a minister in the State Ministry . Since 2019 she has been State Councilor at the Senator for Finance of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

After attending school in Göppingen , Krebs first studied mineralogy in Freiburg . After the birth of her daughter, she retrained and worked for the Freiburg municipal utilities.

Between 1989 and 1994, Krebs sat for the Greens in the Freiburg municipal council. From 2001 she worked in the constituency offices of various Green members of the state parliament, initially for Dieter Salomon , from 2002 for Edith Sitzmann and from 2006 to 2008 for Bärbl Mielich . Since 2008 she has been the public relations officer of the green parliamentary group. Silke Krebs was a member of the regional board of the Freiburg Greens from 2001 to 2008 and since 2005 a member of the extended state board. At the state delegates' conference in Biberach in November 2009 , they elected the Baden-Württemberg Greens together with Christian Kühn as one of two equal state chairmen. Her successor in the office of state chairwoman is Thekla Walker .

On May 12, 2011, Krebs was sworn in as a member of the Kretschmann I cabinet in the state parliament as the new minister in the State Ministry. On March 14, 2016, one day after the state elections, she announced her resignation as Minister of State on March 18, 2016 and carried out this as announced. She then worked as a freelance strategy consultant and coach before moving to Berlin in April 2018 as an executive officer for political communication for the green parliamentary group in Berlin.

Since September 16, 2019, Krebs has been State Councilor at the Senator for Finance of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
