Siluvaimathu Teresanathan Amalnather
Siluvaimathu Teresanathan Amalnather (born November 17, 1925 in Nagapattinam ; † February 12, 2010 ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Tuticorin .
Life
Siluvaimathu Teresanathan Amalnather was ordained a priest on August 24, 1951 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tuticorin on November 29, 1980. The Archbishop of Madurai Justin Diraviam donated him episcopal ordination on February 4 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were Rajarethinam Arokiasamy Sundaram , Bishop of Tanjore , and Ambrose Mathalaimuthu , Bishop of Coimbatore . His motto was: In Faith and Love ("In Faith and Love").
On December 8, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
