Services

Silvio Blatter, who mainly writes prose , describes in detail the monotonous everyday life of industrial workers in his early works. He became known through the Freiamt trilogy , consisting of the novels Increasing Homesickness , No Beautiful Land and The Gentle Law , which paint a broad picture of Blatter's home region, the Aargauer Freiamt , and its residents. In the 1990s, Blatter's literary activity took a back seat, as he devoted himself mainly to painting for almost ten years. Writing and painting have been equally important to him since 2000.
