Location of Sinderen in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek

Sinderen is a village in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek in the Dutch province of Gelderland . It used to be on the border of the former communities of Gendringen and Wisch , which were merged in 2005. It is located at a fork in the road between Varsseveld (north), Dinxperlo (south) and Gendringen (south-west).

There used to be a castle in Sinderen, which the Sinderen chapel still reminds of. The pasture in front of the de Huisman farm is surrounded by an old canal where you can still find the castle's cellars.
