Skiper Bladimir Yánez Calvachi
Skiper Bladimir Yánez Calvachi (born February 5, 1972 in Machachi , Pichincha Province , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Babahoyo .
Life
Skiper Bladimir Yánez Calvachi was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Quito on June 29, 1996 . After serving as pastor in several parishes, he became director of the archdiocese archives and member of the cathedral chapter of Quito. Before being appointed bishop, he was Episcopal Vicar for the Valle de los Chillos y Machachi region .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Guaranda on June 24, 2014 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador, Archbishop Giacomo Guido Ottonello , donated him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Quito , Fausto Gabriel Trávez Trávez OFM , and the Bishop of Babahoyo , Marco Pérez Caicedo .
On March 27, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Babahoyo. The inauguration took place on May 19 of the same year.
