Snoqualmie Pass is a census-designated place (CDP) in King and Kittitas Counties in Washington state . At the United States Census 2010 the population was 311 people.
The CDP is named after the mountain pass of Interstate 90 across the Cascade Range named, which even after the Indians of the strain Snoqualmie is named whose ancestral lands west of the pass in the Snoqualmie Valley was.
Based on per capita income , Snoqualmie Pass ranks eighth out of 522 areas ranked in Washington state and first in Kittitas County.
Due to the almost right-angled division of Interstate 90 on the border of King and Kittitas Counties, the community has two zip codes, is in two counties, two congressional electoral districts and two legislative districts. None of these districts have the same boundary within the municipality.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP covers an area of 7.4 km², which does not include bodies of water. Located on a main pass of the Kaskede Range, Snoqualmie Pass is in the middle of the Mountains to Sound Greenway , a landscape in parts of Countys King and Kittitas, which is of historical importance for the settlement of West Washington.

Because of its altitude, the temperatures in Snoqualmie Pass are significantly lower than in Seattle and there is much more rainfall, mostly than snow. Snoqualmie Pass has a humid continental climate ("Dfb" according to Köppen and Geiger ) with cold, very humid and snowy winters and mild to warm, relatively dry summers.

Demographics
As of the 2000 census , there were 201 residents, 88 households, and 60 families in Snoqualmie Pass. The population density was 27 per km². There were 330 housing units at an average density of 44.4 per km².
The population was 93.03% white , 1% Asian , 1% Pacific islanders, and 4.98% two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 0.5% of the population.
Of the 88 households, 23.9% had children under the age of 18, 61.4% were run by married couples living together, and 2.3% by single mothers; 31.8% were non-families. 21.6% of the households were singles and 2.3% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.68 people.
The median age in the city was 40 years. 18.9% of the population were under 18, 6% between 18 and 24, 37.3% between 25 and 44, 29.9% between 45 and 64 and 8, 65 years or older. There were 109.4 men for every 100 women, and 111.7 men for every 100 women over the age of 18.
All information on median income relates to the median. The median household income was US $ 81,883 and that of families was US $ 89,532. Men had a median income of US $ 50,417 compared to US $ 26,875 for women. The per capita income was US $ 54,316. None of the families and 1.9% of the total population lived below the poverty line .
tourism
The community consists essentially of mountain lodges that are seasonally inhabited by residents of the Seattle metropolitan area , as well as about 150 year-round residents. Winter sports are the main attraction, but outdoor activities can be practiced year round.
The Pacific Crest Trail crosses Snoqualmie Pass and a variety of other trails are suitable for hiking and climbing in the summer and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
Snoqualmie Pass is also the highlight of Snoqualmie, a group of alpine skiing areas managed by Boyne USA Resorts . The four cultivated areas are: Alpental , Summit West (formerly: Snoqualmie Summit ), Summit Central (formerly: Ski Acres ), and Summit East (formerly: Hyak ). The Summit at Snoqualmie , a hotel, is closest to Seattle, so it's often crowded on weekends.
Snowmobiling is very popular east of the pass during the winter months. In summer and autumn, paragliders and hang-gliders can be seen flying over the valley, gliding along the mountain ranges and landing at Keechelus Lake .
