Kittitas County is a county in the US state of Washington . It has 33,362 inhabitants. The seat of the county administration ( County Seat ) is in Ellensburg .

Kittitas County was formed on November 24, 1883. There are different interpretations of the name, which comes from the Yakama language. According to the 2000 census , the county had 33,362 people. There were 13,382 households and 778,832 families. The population density was 6 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 91.77% White, 0.71% African American, 0.91% Native American, 2.19% Asian, 0.15% Pacific Islander, and 2.30% other races Groups; 1.97% were from two or more races.
