The (northern) Solz near Bebra is a 10 kilometer long right tributary of the Fulda in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district . The Solz is a small watercourse of the waters order III.
The brook should not be confused with the Solz brook of the same name, a little upstream near Bad Hersfeld .
geography
The Solz rises on the south-western slopes of the Schmiedsberg ( 428.8 m above sea level ) and the Hohen Buche ( 439.2 m above sea level ) in the Solz district of Bebra. The stream flows along its entire length in a south-westerly direction. It passes the Bebra districts Imshausen and Gilfershausen and then flows through the southern area of the city of Bebra. Here it flows through in the area of the station area below the Bebra – Fulda railway line and federal road 27 . About 1.2 kilometers southwest of Bebra the Solz flows into the Fulda at river kilometer 118.3. Opposite, on the other side of the Fulda, lies the Bebra district of Breitenbach .
The Solz, along with the Bebra and Cornberger Wasser, form the border between the Richelsdorf Mountains in the east and the Stölzinger Mountains in the west.
