Sound Theories Vol. I & II is a live album by American rock musician Steve Vai . It was released in June 2007 under the label Epic Records and Red Ink.

Trivia

The album was recorded from 2004 to 2005 in the Netherlands by Vai together with the Metropole Orchestra . Volume I includes Vai's guitar playing and Volume II compositions that Vai wrote for the orchestra, such as Shadows and Sparks and Bledsoe Bluvd .

The music website Allmusic awarded 3.5 stars out of 5 for the album. Allmusic critic William Ruhlmann found this album to be the beginning of the end of the guitar hero career . CD Universe rated the album four out of five stars.
