Souzan Alavi (born November 12, 1978 in Bābol , Iran ) is a German actress , singer , dancer , voice actor and dance , singing and acting teacher . She gained national fame in 2003 as a participant and finalist in the RTL II casting show " Fame Academy - the path to fame ".

life and career

Souzan Alavi was born in Babol in 1978 as the daughter of a Persian engineer and a German ballet dancer. Alavi's parents emigrated from Iran in the 1980s, first to Denmark and then to Germany. Her father worked as an engineer and later ran a photo shop and a snack bar, while her mother Agnes Alavi, a ballet dancer herself, taught classical ballet in her dance school. In 1995, while she was still in high school, she completed classical ballet training in her mother's dance school. After graduating from high school, she studied acting, singing and dance at the Stage School in Hamburg until 1999 , and successfully completed her studies with a diploma. In 2001 and 2002 she received various first casts in the musical " Cats " in Stuttgart , the role of Victoria and other roles of Rumpleteaser, Sillabub and Tantomile. Then she worked in a wide variety of TV productions, cinema and short films.

In 2003 she became a candidate in the RTL II casting show Fame Academy and made it to the final there.

In 2004 she played Sina Achterberg in the ARD's daily series Marienhof .

Since 2005 Souzan Alavi has been working as a professional speaker in the areas of dubbing, TV documentaries (voice over), advertising, computer games, radio plays and audio books, as well as a singer for various studio projects.

In 2011 Souzan Alavi developed the comedy TV format Home Schiet Home for the regional TV broadcaster Hamburg 1 together with Patrice Ötvös and Thomas Schwieger . In it she plays the role of Jenni Teherani.

In 2006 she joined her mother's company and since then has been teaching as a dance and acting lecturer, among other things, for classical ballet, as well as jazz and show dance. In 2015 she founded her own musical school “Fame Academy” for children and young people and teaches dance, singing and acting together with regular lecturers and various guest lecturers.
