Springs Junction is a small settlement in the Buller District of the West Coast regionon the South Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located about 38 km southeast of Reefton at the junction of New Zealand State Highway 65 from New Zealand State Highway 7 in the valley of the two rivers Rahu River and Maruia River , which converge about 4.5 km further north.
Northwest of the settlement is the 200,000 hectare Victoria Forest Park with the Victoria Range , which rises from 1300 m to the north, and south of the Lake Sumner Forest Park with Lake Christabel extends southeast of the settlement. The closest settlement to the north is Maruia , around 16 km away, and to the east, Maruia Springs , around 13 km away.
