St. Mauritii

The Evangelical Lutheran , listed church of St. Mauritii is located in Schulstrasse in Kleinwelsbach , a district of the town and rural community of Nottertal-Heilinger Heights in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia . The parish of St. Mauritii belongs to the parish of Mulhouse the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church dates from the 13th century. Your choir tower has an early Gothic lancet window in the east . The church was rebuilt in 1691, as indicated on the south portal . In 1894 the top of the tower was renewed and the nave, covered with a gable roof , was extended to the west. The tower got an eight-sided, slate-covered and pointed helmet . The nave is equipped with galleries and covered with a coffered wooden barrel roof . The triumphal arch was added in the 1950s. The pulpit dates from the 18th century, the baptismal font is late Gothic. On the east wall there are figures of Peter and John from the 18th century. The bell was cast in 1571.

The organ with nine registers , divided between a manual and a pedal , was built in 1887 by Friedrich Petersilie.
