The Stadtdekanat 19 is a dean's office in the Vicariate of Vienna city of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna .

It comprises nine parishes in the 19th district of Döbling in Vienna with 31,481 Catholics. Seven parishes belong to religious communities . The Stadtdekanat 20 was developed in the 1970s by a cleavage from Stadtdekanat 19th

Diocesan development process

On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. In the city dean's office 19, the following development areas were defined:

  • Glanzing, Kaasgraben and Krim (merged on January 1, 2016 to form the parish of Franz von Sales)
  • Grinzing, Heiligenstadt, Kahlenbergerdorf, Neustift am Walde, Nussdorf, Sievering and Unterheiligenstadt
    • Subunit 1: Grinzing and Heiligenstadt
    • Subunit 2: Neustift am Walde and Sievering
    • Subunit 3: Kahlenbergerdorf, Nussdorf and Unterheiligenstadt
  • Döbling-St. Paul
