Stapelermoor is a row village in the municipality of Uplengen in the district of Leer in East Frisia . The village belongs to the district of Meinersfehn and is about ten kilometers northwest of Westerstede. Around 300 people live in the village on an area of around 17.23 square kilometers.
The place is first mentioned in 1897. The name refers to the moor belonging to Stapel . The village was built in the middle of a high moorland area at a height of about 12.5 meters. Remnants of this moor area are now designated as the Stapeler Moor nature reserve.
