Meinersfehn is a district in the municipality of Uplengen in the district of Leer in East Frisia . The row settlement is about six kilometers east of Remels. The village is home to 464 people, who are spread over 167 households. Gertrud Berneis ( SPD ) is the head of the village .
The Meinersfehn Moorsiedlung was laid out in 1773 and was first named Meinerts-Vehn in 1787 . The current spelling has been used since 1823. The name is a combination of the nickname Meinert or the family name Meiner (t) s with the term Fehn .
On January 1, 1973 Meinersfehn was incorporated into the new municipality of Uplengen.
