Stef Dusseldorp (born September 27, 1989 in Winterswijk ) is a Dutch automobile racing driver . He competed in the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2011 and 2012 .

Career

Dusseldorp began his motorsport career in karting at the age of seven and remained active in this sport until 2006. In 2007 he switched to formula racing at Van Amersfoort Racing and was 13th in the Northern European Formula Renault . In 2008 he stayed in the Northern European Formula Renault and improved to fifth overall with one win. He was also tenth in the drivers' championship of the Italian Formula Renault .

In 2009 Dusseldorp switched to the German Formula 3 Cup , in which he also competed for Van Amersfoort Racing. He won two races and was on the podium of another nine. At the end of the season, he finished second in the drivers' standings behind his team-mate Laurens Vanthoor , who dominated the championship. In 2010 Dusseldorp contested his second season in the German Formula 3 Cup for Van Amersfoort Racing. He was unable to build on the success of the previous year and ended the season with two wins behind his team-mate Daniel Abt in fourth place overall.

In 2011 Dusseldorp switched to GT racing. He started for Hexis in an Aston Martin DBR9 in the FIA GT1 World Championship . Together with his team-mate Clivio Piccione , he already won the second race. The two finished the season with a total of four podium finishes in seventh place in the world championship. In addition Dusseldorp was in 2011 the two races in the Blancpain Endurance Series at the start. He reached the 23rd place in the GT3 Pro Cup. In 2012 , Dusseldorp stayed with Hexis, which started working with McLaren this season , in the FIA ​​GT1 World Championship. Frédéric Makowiecki is his team-mate.
