Stefan Matzner (born April 24, 1993 in Korneuburg ) is an Austrian cyclist who is active on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2013, Stefan Matzner became two-time Austrian champion in his hometown of Vienna on the cycling track in the Ferry-Dusika-Hallenstadion , in scratch and together with Andreas Müller in two-man team driving . He was runner-up in the 1000-meter time trial , in the points race and in the single pursuit .

In January 2013 Matzner made his debut in the international elite class when he started with Andreas Graf in the two-man team in Aguascalientes at the track cycling World Cup 2012/13 . The duo took tenth place. By 2018 Matzner had won five more Austrian championship titles on the track.

In 2018, Stefan Matzner won his first international medal at the European Railway Championships in Glasgow when he finished third in the points race. Later that year he won the scratch competition at the track World Cup in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines .
