Stefan Wagner (born October 17, 1913 ; † November 6, 2002 ) was an Austrian football player .

Career

Wagner played from 1933 to 1935 first for the second division club 1. Simmeringer SC , before moving to SK Rapid Vienna . From 1936 to 1943 and from 1945 to 1950 he was a member of the club for which he played in the national league in the first two seasons. With the annexation of Austria , he came from 1938 bis 1941 in Gauliga Ostmark , from 1941 bis 1943 in the sports class Danube Alpine country in one of 17, later spiked to 23 Gauligen the era of National Socialism as a uniform top flight in the German Reich , used . After the end of World War II , he played in from 1 September 1945 and launched until end of season 1948/49 existing Wiener League . His last season, 1949/50 , he completed in the state league . During his club membership, he played 122 point games, eight ÖFB Cup games, 16 games in the finals for the German championship , 17 games in the competition for the Tschammer Cup and won six titles. He ended his football career with SV Gloggnitz in 1951/52 in the State League B and in 1953/54 with the lower-class Viennese club Rennweger SV 1901 .

National team

For the senior national team , he played two internationals in 1947 . He made his debut on September 14th in Vienna in a 4-3 victory over the national team of Hungary , his last on October 5th in Prague in the 2-3 defeat against the national team of Czechoslovakia .

Wagner died on November 6, 2002, around three weeks after his 89th birthday, and was buried on November 22, 2002 at the Simmeringer Friedhof (part A, group 22, row 10, number 9).
