Stefanie Mühle (born March 19, 1960 in Cologne ; † April 18, 2011 ) was a German actress .

Life

Stefanie Mühle completed her acting training at the State Folkwang School in Essen . She has appeared in many television and theater productions. For example, she played in the crime series Tatort and took part in the multi-part Heimat 3 . From 1987 to 1991 Stefanie Mühle took over the role of "Christina Barnsteg" in the Lindenstrasse series as the successor to Silke Wülfing . In 2006 she played a leading role in the movie Lieben .

Mühle was due to a statement about the Bavarian politician Peter Gauweiler in the context of her role as "Christina Barnsteg" for insulting in court. Since Gauweiler demanded the ghettoization of AIDS sufferers , he was called a fascist by "Christina" . She was acquitted in the first instance and by the court of appeal . The Higher Regional Court of Cologne, as a court of appeal, confirmed the acquittal, as her statement was not intended to express the personal disregard for Gauweiler, but the disregard of a fictional left-wing person in the Lindenstrasse series . Thus, neither the offense of insult nor that of defamation was fulfilled.

Most recently Stefanie Mühle was engaged as a lecturer at the Arturo Drama School in Cologne and as an actress at the Wolfgang Borchert Theater in Münster . Furthermore, she had numerous television roles, such as in 2008 in the ZDF crime series Kommissar Stolberg .

She died of cancer on April 18, 2011 at the age of 51.
