Steinach is part of the municipality of Gleiritsch .

geography

Steinach is located in the Upper Palatinate North region in the north-eastern part of the Schwandorf district . The hamlet is located on the county road from Gleiritsch to Trichenricht and borders directly on the town of Gleiritsch. The hamlet consists of three farms and two residential properties.

History: Gut Steinach

The hamlet of Steinach, south of Gleiritsch, used to belong to the Ödmiesbach estate in the Tännesberg maintenance office as a separate estate . On November 16, 1604, the "Mispach" estate , which until then had belonged to Hofmark Fuchsberg , became its own country estate. Jobst Sigmund von Sazenhofen was the first to receive the freedom of the local people. In later years Steinach was bought, which is only a "small Puchssen shot far from Gleiritsch" .

Shortly after 1700 the ownership of Ödmiesbach and Steinach passed from the hands of the von Sazenhofen family to the royal Danish lieutenant colonel Friedrich Ulrich von Donop. This in turn sold Steinach to the imperial war commissioner Anton von Gundel. When he was introduced to the estate, all subjects of the Hofmark had appeared. The four Grundholden from Steinach were: "Hanns Eckhl the Younger, Peter Paur, Hanns Georg Forster, Hanns Eckhl the Elder" .

Document from 1700

In 1714 Johann Leonhard Danndorf and his wife, Maria Salome Katharina, née von Sporneck, acquired the Ödmiesbach estate with Steinach. In 1723, the Landsassen files name Peter Rudolf Strigler and his wife, Maria Magdalena Elisabeth Cecilia, née von Gingl, as buyers. On February 25, 1770, after changes of ownership within the family, Joseph Aaron Strigler exchanged "the knight and country estate Ödmiesbach and the associated court marches Stainach and Guttenfürst" with Ignaz Anton Mariophilus Falkner von Sonnenburg for the "knight and country estate Döllnitz" . In 1792 Johann Niklas von Sonnenburg took over the Landsassengut Ödmiesbach, Gutenfürst and Steinach from his parents. He was followed by Kajetan von Sonnenburg. His son Max von Sonnenburg took his own life because of the "bad financial situation in 1834 in Oedmiesbach Castle" . The estate was smashed. This also brought Steinach into private ownership.
